EFF Seeks Legal Protection for iPhone JailBreakers

The USA based lobby group, Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) has filed three exemption requests with the U.S. Copyright Office today aimed at protecting iPhone owners who "jailbreak" their handset and cell phone recyclers from legal threats under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).  more

AdMob Secures $15.7 Million in Additional Funding

The mobile ad agency, AdMob says that it has achieved cash flow positive results and secured a new US$15.7 million Series C investment round, led by Sequoia CapitalÃ's Growth Fund with existing investor Accel Partners participating. The company has experienced strong growth over the past year, more than tripling the number of ads served on a monthly basis to 4.5 billion in September 2008.  more
