Deutsche Telekom has confirmed the details of its plans to combine its German fixed and mobile communications business into just one business. Under the plans, T-Mobile International is to be merged into Deutsche Telekom. T-Mobile Deutschland will thus become a direct subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom. 2Wire and Thomson were big winners in the 2008 Wi-Fi market, growing their shipments by nearly 60% annually.
