Nokia Messaging is currently free to download and set-up, and supports the world's most popular email accounts - Windows Live Hotmail, Yahoo! Mail, Gmail, AOL Mail - and accounts from thousands of other email providers. The application enables access of up to 10 personal email accounts on a Nokia device, and through one single icon. more

Western European Mobile Phone Market now in Recession
Three consecutive quarters of negative growth have led the Western European mobile phone market into recession. According to IDC's European Mobile Phone Tracker, vendors shipped 53.6 million units in 4Q08, 13.5% lower than the 62 million units shipped in 4Q07. For the full year 2008, vendors shipped 190.5 million units in Western Europe, 5.9% lower than the 202.5 million units shipped in 2007. more

Gemalto to Embed Windows Live Messenger in SIM Cards
Microsoft and smart-card vendor, Gemalto have announced they are collaborating to offer Windows Live Messenger services to the mass market of mobile subscribers through a new Windows Live Messenger client application that comes pre-installed on phone Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) cards. The Gemalto application, named SIMessenger, is the world's first Microsoft-certified instant messaging SIM client solution. more

Gemalto Offering SIM-Based Windows Live Mobile IM to Argentineans
