Airspan WiMAX Selected for Live Broadcasting in South Africa

­Airspan Networks says that it has won a contract from Multisource Telecoms, a South African wireless communications provider, for a live pilot radio broadcast. Multisource worked with Siemens and the South African Broadcasting Corp. (SABC), the state-owned broadcaster in South Africa, to cover the event.  more

WiMAX Coverage to Expand in Iranian Capital City

­Samsung has won an exclusive contract to supply wimax infrastrucuture to the Iran based internet service provider, Datak Telecom. The installation and deployment of Samsung's wimax network equipment will begin in Tehran this month and the first commercial Mobile wimax service will be introduced in the second quarter of 2010.  more
