Redline's products selected by I-NetLink to power WiMAX Network

I-NetLink Wireless, a Canada-based wireless communications company, has chosen Redline's RedMAX products for its network roll-out across 150 communities in rural Manitoba. The RedMAX network, which will be the largest wimax network in Manitoba, will also allow I-Netlink to expand its network to areas where high capacity services were not available due to lack of fiber and limited interest from larger carriers in the past.  more

Motorola to Expand Taiwanese WiMAX Network

Taiwan's Far EasTone Telecom (FET) has awarded Motorola additional contracts to expand its wimax network in Taichung, Taiwan. 1.45 Million BWA/WiMAX Subscribers Added in 2008

Worldwide, approximately 1.45 million BWA/wimax subscribers were added during 2008, while the WCDMA subscriber base increased by more than 90 million. The average quarter-over-quarter subscriber growth rate in 2008 was 21.5%, according to the 7th issue of the 4GCounts Quarterly Report from Maravedis.  more

Craig Wireless Signs Greek WiMAX Reseller Deal

Craig Wireless' Greek subsidiary Craig Wireless Hellas has entered into an agreement to provide Net One subscribers with access to its wimax network. Alvarion Delivers Turnkey WiMAX Network in Burkina Faso

Alvarion says that it has been chosen by Burkina Faso's Ministry of Posts and Information Communication Technology for the country's first 802.16e wimax deployment. Alvarion initially deployed a network in the capital city of Ouagadougou to connect administrative offices with data and voice services over wimax. Based on the successful results, the Ministry of Posts and Information Communication Technology decided to award an expansion contract with full turnkey services to Alvarion.  more
