Alvarion Deploys Municipal WiMAX Network in Huston
Israeli wimax vendor, Alvarion says that it has deployed a municipal wimax network in the USA city of Huston. Based on the wimax network, the city is currently introducing traffic control in more than 3,500 locations throughout the city. City of Houston also plans to connect 400 water utility locations with the network, covering an area of approximately 640 square miles. more

Alvarion says that it has won an extension of a previous contract to build a wimax network in Italy on behalf of Linkem Spa.
