Nortel Wins Largest Ever 3.65 GHz WiMAX Contract
Nortel Networks has won a WiMAX supply contract from FairPoint Communications to provide a fixed-wireless internet service in the US states of Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine. The network contract will use wireless base stations and terminals designed and manufactured by Nortel partner, Airspan. more

Alcatel-Lucent and Motorola runaway leaders in mobile WiMAX market
As of the second quarter of 2008, Alcatel-Lucent and Motorola together account for over two-thirds of worldwide mobile WiMAX equipment revenue, reports communications market research firm Infonetics Research in a new report.
