Turkcell Secures Export Financing for Ericsson 3G Kit Purchase

Turkish mobile network operator, Turkcell has announced the signing of a US$285 million loan agreement to buy 3G network infrastructure from Ericsson. The Board of Directors said that they have authorised up to US$750 million of export financing for network expenditure.  more

Ericsson Wins 3G Contract in Northern Cyprus

Ericsson has won a contract in Turkish Cyprus from Kuzey Kibris Turkcell - a subsidiary of Turkcell - as the sole supplier of a wcdma/HSPA network. Under the agreement Ericsson will provide a wcdma/HSPA network, including radio access and packet core network and the Ericsson Mobile Softswitch Solution.  more
