Aeroflex has introduced a LTE test mobile designed to address the challenges of 3GPP LTE network infrastructure development test and rollout. The TM500 LTE incorporates test, logging and measurement features at all layers of the protocol. This includes MIMO tests to verify that the network appropriately handles the MIMO related signaling and correctly applies the MIMO modes, which can be realized with or without the need for an external fading simulator. more

Anritsu Extends HSUPA Protocol Test Capability
Following their success in completing the first 3GPP HSUPA (High Speed Uplink Packet Access) protocol conformance test case, Anritsu says that it is introducing full HSUPA capability for its Protocol Test System (PTS). The PTS has been developed with the future in mind and supports the maximum 5.7Mbps HSUPA data rate combined with a proven 14.4Mbps HSDPA capability, meaning future upgrades are not required, providing valuable protection to investment. more

HSUPA (High Speed Uplink Packet Access) is a critical element in the delivery of high speed data rates on 3G mobile networks. This latest extension of 3G technology provides a major improvement to data transfer rates from the mobile terminal to the network by increasing uplink speeds from 384kbps to 5.7Mbps. more
