New Zealand Regulator Wants Lower Mobile Termination Rates
New Zealand's Commerce Commission has sent letters to the country's three mobile phone networks warning that it wants a reduction in their mobile termination rates. The three networks had sent submissions to the Commission to lower their rates voluntarily, but the Commission has replied saying that the cuts don't go far enough. more

Vodafone Signs Tower Sharing Deal with NZ Communications
New Zealand's 3rd mobile operator, NZ Communications says that it has inked a deal with vodafone to rent space on up to 116 of the rival operator's towers. The company has delayed its launch several times citing problems with securing locations for its base stations, so the move should help accelerate its network rollout. more
