Orange and Vodafone Outsource their UK Network Management

Two of the UK's mobile networks have separately - but on the same day - announced network maintenance outsourcing deals. Orange UK has given a 5-year contract to Nokia Siemens Networks, while Vodafone UK granted a 7-year contract to Ericsson.  more

Vodafone Upgrading UK Handset Distribution Center

Vodafone UK and Unipart Technology Logistics (UTL) have announced joint investment in a facility to manage all of Vodafone UK's handset and accessory storage plus distribution. Employing 950 staff by April 2007, it will bring together logistics and returns for Vodafone's 340-plus retail stores as well as daily returns and direct supply to customers under one roof. The centre will also deal with handset repairs and Vodafone's control car phone fitting service. more
