Vodafone Profits Up Slightly - Announces More Cost Cutting
vodafone has reported a rise of 2.4% in it adjusted net profits for the first half of this year to £5.9 billion (US$9.9 billion). The company was boosted by foreign currency benefits which helped to offset a lower profit in Europe. EBITDA was up by 2.9% to £7.5 billion (US$12.6 billion), while revenues rose by 9.3% to £21.8 billion (US$36.5 billion) - although they were down by 3% if you exclude acquisitions. more
