Vodafone makes new boardroom appointment
Vodafone has announced that Vittorio Colao has been appointed as a Company Director with effect from April. In 1999, he became the Chief Executive Officer of Omnitel Pronto Italia (now known as Omnitel Vodafone), before his appointment as Regional Chief Executive Officer for Southern Europe in April 2001. He originally joined Omnitel Vodafone as its Chief Operating Officer, coming from McKinsey. Following his appointment to the Board of Vodafone, he will continue to be responsible for the Group's Southern Europe Region. more
