Telekom Austria says that it has successfully run a LTE trial, performing a live LTE video call between technical engineers driving in a bus in viennaīs 21st District, one of the company's LTE test areas, and their counterparts in the provincial capitals of Graz, Klagenfurt, Linz, Salzburg and Innsbruck. Telekom Austria Outlines $2.1 Billion in Network Upgrades
The Telekom Austria Group has announced that over the next 4 years, it will invest a total of EUR 1.5 billion (US$2.1 billion) in the Austrian telecommunications infrastructure. Of the spend, EUR 1 billion will go on the landline network, with EUR500 million being spent on the mobile network. more

Wolfgang Krebs, Head of Sales at Mobilkom Austria in vienna from 1998 to 2001, is Chief Marketing Officer. Bojan Dremelj, the outgoing Managing Director of SI.MOBIL will take up the position of Chief Technical Officer.
