Nokia Siemens Networks readies TD-LTE for India
Nokia Siemens Networks says that it has become the first company to successfully demonstrate the Time Division Duplex version of LTE (TD-LTE) using broadband wireless access (BWA) spectrum in India. The first video call was made by Gurdeep Singh, chief operating officer of Aircel on commercial hardware at the Nokia Siemens Networks' Bengaluru R&D facility. more

Telekom Austria Testing Huawei Supplied LTE Network
Telekom Austria says that it has successfully run a LTE trial, performing a live LTE video call between technical engineers driving in a bus in Vienna´s 21st District, one of the company's LTE test areas, and their counterparts in the provincial capitals of Graz, Klagenfurt, Linz, Salzburg and Innsbruck. The LTE live test-call was performed with Telekom Austria Group's telepresence videoconfering system. more

Nokia Siemens Networks supports landmark TD-LTE video call
Nokia Siemens Networks says that it recently facilitated a high resolution live video call between TD-LTE devices connected to separate TD-LTE networks. The call occurred between China Mobile's pre-commercial TD-LTE network for the Shanghai World Expo and National Chiao Tung University's (NCTU) TD-LTE trial network in Taipei, set up by Nokia Siemens Networks. more
