Strategy Analytics is predicting that the majority of LTE deployments by wireless operators will use the 2,600 MHz band, creating ample new opportunities for terminal component vendors. US Operators Sign-Up to Mobile Marketing Agreement

The USA's four largest mobile network operators, verizon Wireless, AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile USA have all signed up to abide by marketing guidelines from the Mobile Marketing Association (MMA). In addition to the four largest US wireless service providers, there was substantial help in securing this agreement from the major aggregators, brands and content owners. Verizon Wireless Rumoured Looking at Selling Netbook Computers

US network operator, verizon Wireless is reported to be preparing to join the growing trend for mobile phone networks to sell netbook computers. Verizon Announces LTE Deployment Plans - Going Live in 2010

verizon's CTO, Dick Lynch has outlined the company's plans to roll out an LTE upgrade for its wireless network. Lynch announced that verizon Wireless has selected Ericsson and Alcatel-Lucent as primary network vendors for its initial LTE network deployments. These two vendors are expected to build the underlying infrastructure that will enable verizon Wireless to become the first wireless company to offer commercial LTE-based service in the United States, starting in 2010.  more
