RealNetworks Loses Arbitration with VeriSign Over SMS Alliance
RealNetworks has announced that it has lost a legal action with verisign over an alliance between the two companies, and that contractual limitations on the financial penalties had been overturned. The alliance referred to verisign Metcalf Intercarrier SMS, an outsourced inter-carrier messaging solution for wireless carriers. Together with RealNetworks, it powers inter-carrier mobile messaging for eight of the top 10 wireless carriers in North America and other major operators throughout the world. more
