UTStarcom to Close Korean Handset Factory

utstarcom has announced plans to close its Korean handset factory over the next six months to enable the company to meet current customer commitments in North America and the process will be complete by July 2009. CDMA Contract for Marine Communications

utstarcom has announced a contract to provide its MovingMedia 2000 all-IP CDMA network solution to Maritime Communications Partner (MCP), a Norway-based global maritime cellular operator and wholly owned subsidiary of Norwegian network operator, Telenor. The contract will enable CDMA wireless voice and data services for MCP's fleet of ferry and cruise ship customers. more
