Huawei Completes Middle Eastern HSDPA Rollout
Huawei says it has successfully deployed what it says is the largest High Speed Packet Access (HSPA) network in the Middle East, for Etisalat in UAE. This network covers 97% of the populated areas in the country and Etisalat was able to support more than one million 3G end-users that signed up within the first five months of 2007. more
Aircom Wins Network Planning Contract in Pakistan
Aircom has confirmed that it has entered an agreement with Huawei to provide a single "end-to-end" platform software solution to the ufone network in Pakistan. The deal follows Huawei's recent contract US$550 million GSM contract to expand the wireless network of ufone, one of Pakistan's leading telecom service providers. ufone is the subsidiary company of Etisalat, and the country's second largest telecom service provider. more
