LG Shows Off Latest TouchScreen Phone
LG Electronics has shown off its latest touchscreen phone, the LG GD510, or more simply, "Pop", which is says is the most compact 3-inch full touchscreen phone ever made. LG's consumer research showed that a large group of consumers wanted the functionality of a full touchscreen phone without the extra bulk and unnecessary features that resulted in higher prices. According to the research, many users were also put off by the complexity of feature-laden phones but still desired the easier navigation and larger screens of full touchscreen phones. more

LG Claims 2 Million Touchscreen Phone Sales
LG Electronics has announced that its touchscreen phone, the LG Cookie (LG-KP500) has recorded over two million unit sales worldwide in the five months since its debut last October. More than 1.2 million handsets have been sold in Europe, and 600,000 Cookies have been sold in Asia and the emerging markets, including Latin America.
