Alcatel-Lucent to power Thai IP broadband project
Alcatel-Lucent says that it has been chosen by Samart Telcoms, a provider of network system services in Thailand and a member of the JJS consortium, to supply an intelligent optical network for tot Public Company Limited. AIS Suspends 3G Expansion Pending License Auction

Qualcomm Says Thailand Needs at Least Three 3G Networks
Qualcomm Thailand country manager, Kaneungjit Suriyathumrongkul has warned that Thailand will need at least three 3G networks to ensure sufficient competition in the market. Ms Suriyathumrongkul also noted that MVNOs were an option for the country, but only if the underlying network is good and expressed concerns with the idea of a shared national network. more
