Handango Publishes Top Smartphone Software Chart

The software retailer, Handango has published its quarterly sales report, detailing the most popular smartphone and PDA software applications. This most recent version of the Yardstick indicated that three smartphones launched within the past year were among the top ten devices adding software based on revenue. The Motorola Q topped the list, overtaking the Palm Treo 650 which had been in the top spot for more than a year, with the BlackBerry Pearl following close behind. The Palm Treo 680, also a newly-released device, ranked at number ten. more

SmartVideo Technologies havs signed an agreement with Professional Championship Wrestling (PCW) of Dallas, texas to broadcast PCW matches via their mobile phones. The market for PCW - and other entertainment and news content - on mobile devices is only going to grow larger; market research by the ARC Group anticipates that number will increase to nearly 250 million by 2008. more
