Test platform upgraded to support cdma2000

Catapult Communications has announced the immediate availability of cdma2000 protocols for its DCT2000 Digital Communications Test System. The DCT2000 test system now supports all of the necessary signaling and user traffic connections needed to interface to the cdma2000 core network. Specifically, the DCT2000 now supports the A9 and A11 signaling protocols, the A8 and A10 GRE protocols, and the A1, A3 and A7 IOS protocols. more

3G test system delivered to Alcatel/Fujitu joint venture

Catapult Communications has announced the first shipments of its DCT2000 Test System to Evolium SAS. Evolium SAS is a joint venture between Alcatel and Fujitsu created to define and develop 2G and 3G mobile radio communications networks. "Evolium is placing a special emphasis on developing a 3G/UMTS offering with solutions being largely based on Fujitsu's experience acquired as a supplier to NTT DoCoMo in Japan" states Fujitsu in a press release dated Sept. 4, 2000. According to Dave Mayfield, president and COO, "Catapult has sold test systems to both Alcatel and Fujitsu Limited separately and is pleased to have been selected as a supplier to Evolium. Although no numbers were released, Catapult's first shipments were made to Evolium SAS in Japan" more
