New Zealand Regulator Wants Lower Mobile Termination Rates

New Zealand's Commerce Commission has sent letters to the country's three mobile phone networks warning that it wants a reduction in their mobile termination rates. The three networks had sent submissions to the Commission to lower their rates voluntarily, but the Commission has replied saying that the cuts don't go far enough.  more

New Zealand Mobile Market Passes 100% Penetration

As Vodafone and Telecom have announced their mid-year subscriber figures, the New Zealand mobile market has officially passed the 100% penetration mark. There were 4.25 million mobile subscribers in New Zealand at the end of June 2007, reflecting penetration of 101%. more
