Telenor Cuts 400 Jobs in Sweden

Telenor's Sweden division has announced plans to cut 400 jobs, out of a total work force of 2,400 in the country. The bulk of the job cuts will be in cities of Stockholm and Karlskrona. The company will also be ending contracts with 135 consultants.  more

Easy Handset Settings for Swedish Operator

Telenor Sweden has gone live with a Mobile Device Management (MDM) solution from SmartTrust that will allow it to better manage subscriber access to data services such as MMS, Email, WAP and Push-to-Talk (PTT). Using SmartTrust's MDM solution SmartManage, the operator will be able to push the necessary service settings directly to the handset over-the-air (OTA). This removes the need for subscribers to manually enter service settings; instead Telenor Sweden (Mobile) subscribers can request a settings download via the operator's customer care centre or through a self-care web portal. more
