Deutsche Telekom's 2Q profit rises 32 percent
Germany's Deutsche telekom has reported a 32% rise in second quarter profits, boosted by its acquisition of Greece's Hellenic Telecommunications Organization (OTE). The Greek company OTE contributed EUR 1.5 billion to net revenue and EUR 0.5 billion to adjusted EBITDA of the Group in the second quarter of 2009. The company recorded a net profit of EUR 521 million (US$750.7 million) on revenues of EUR 16.2 billion, up 7.4% on the year ago. more
