Who are the 20 Largest Operators in the Americas?
At the end of the September quarter, the ten largest networks in the Caribbean and Latin America region all had a minimum of 10 million customers. This remains the case in the current quarter, with those same ten and only those ten having passed this mark. In fact, the status quo is essentially undisturbed, with each of the ten remaining in the same place as they were three months earlier. Who are the Fastest Growing Networks in Caribbean/Latin America?
The majority of the names on the list of the leading operators in Caribbean and Latin America (CALA) by customer numbers reappear on the list of the fastest growing - but not the first on the list. This is minor Mexican player Iusacell, which recorded 1.7m additions to take its total to 3.9m. However, the numbers have to be treated with caution - the vast majority of this growth came from the acquisition of Unefon which closed during the quarter. Without this, the number of new connections would have been below 0.5m - not enough to take a place in the top ten, let alone first. more
