Sybase 365 Sued for Infringing Two Messaging Patents

TeleCommunication Systems (TCS) says that it has filed a lawsuit against Sybase 365 over claimed infringements of two patents. One lawsuit alleges infringement of United States Patents Nos. 6,891,811 and 7,355,990 issued in 2005 and 2008, respectively, on technology for permitting two-way communication of short messages between a Short Message Service Center (SMSC) or wireless device and an internet (or HTTP) device or Universal Resource Locator (URL).  more

Telsasoft Wins Call Detail Monitoring Software Tools

Telsasoft announced that US based Panhandle Telecommunication Systems (PTCI) has deployed its CDMA, EVDO and Call Detail Record performance monitoring tools for their wireless network and has also received an order from Blue Sky Communication of American Samoa for the GSM alarm/fault management and performance monitoring software tools for their wireless operations in their coverage area.  more

Verizon sets up web site for sending SMS's

The USA based network, Verizon Wireless has launched a short text messaging Web site that will enable users to send SMS messages to individuals and groups directly from their PC. Available with all digital phones and calling plans, the web site works with Verizon Wireless' Mobile MessengerSM text messaging service. When sending a message to a wireless phone, vtext.com allows the sender to confirm delivery that the message was received by the phone and provides a date and time stamp. Owners of two way SMS handsets will be able to send replies back to the PC of the originator. more
