Telecom Italia Wins Court Ruling - Gets Access to Argentinian Subsidiary

A court in Argentina has ruled that the country's anti-trust body, the CNDC was wrong to block Telecom Italia from participating in board meetings held by its local subsidiary, Telecom Argentina. The CNDC had originally blocked Telecom Italia from the board meetings as Telefonica holds a minority shareholding in the Italian firm. Telefonica also owns another Argentinean telecoms operator, Telefonica Argentina.  more

Telecom Italia Reported to be Looking to Exit Argentinian Market

Telecom Italia is reported to have hired advisors to help it sell its indirect stake in Telecom Argentina. The company owns a 50% stake in Sofora Telecomunicaciones, which in turn owns controlling interest in Telecom Argentina.  more

Fitch Affirms Telecom Argentina and Telecom Personal's IDRs; Outlook Stable

Fitch Ratings has affirmed the ratings outlook for Telecom Argentina (TEO), and subsidiary mobile network, Personal as Stable. Fitch said that the affirmation of TEO and Personal's ratings reflects a sound credit profile, strong operating performance and manageable debt maturity profile over the medium term.  more
