Active RAN Sharing Could Save Operators $60 Billion
A new study from ABI Research finds that the worldwide combined OPEX and CAPEX savings from active infrastructure sharing could amount to as much as $60 billion over the next five year period. DiGi appoints new Chief Technology Officer
Ole Martin Gunhildsbu has been appointed by Malaysian mobile network, DiGi Telecommunications as its new Chief Technology Officer ("CTO") with immediate effect. He has been acting CTO since November 2008 when his predecessor left to take up a new role within the Telenor Group. more

Sweden Finishes "4G" Spectrum Auction

Tele2 Switching MVNO Traffic from Telenor to NetCom
TeliaSonera's subsidiary NetCom says that it has signed an agreement with tele2 to use Netcom's mobile network as a mobile virtual network operator (MVNO). The agreement implies transferring all tele2 Norge's traffic from Telenor's network to NetCom's network before April 1, 2008. more
