Greenland's sole mobile network operator, Tele Greenland has commissioned Nokia Siemens Networks to roll out a 3G network on 900 MHz frequency and upgrade its existing core network. Nokia Siemens Networks will provide network implementation and software maintenance services, as well as emergency call support. Expanding Mobile Coverage in Greenland
Siemens is supplying high-speed Internet technology and new mobile communication technology to Greenland. Government-owned telecommunication operator Tele Greenland has entrusted Siemens with the task of supplying and building the technology. The consultancy firm, Omnitele says that has been contracted by TELE Greenland to support with the introduction of multimedia and GPRS services and to prepare an optimal network migration plan towards 3G. more
