Alcatel-Lucent Wins Chinese Contracts Worth $1.7 Billion

ZTE, Other 3G Device Providers Play Active Role in Deploying 3G Networks in China

iPhone in China: China Mobile or China Unicom?

China Orders Shut-Down of PHS Mobile Phone Networks

China Telecom and China Unicom have been ordered to shut down their low-cost XiaoLingTong mobile telephone system in order to free up the radio spectrum for 3G services. The two companies have been given three years to shut down the networks.  more

China Telecom Aims for 3G Launch Within Three Months

China Mobile Plans $8.6 Billion 3G CAPEX in 2009

China Mobile says that it plans to spend around US$8.6 billion during 2009 alone on rolling out its 3G network - based on the home-grown td-scdma technology. The company aims to deploy some 60,000 base stations in 238 cities this year.  more

China Confirms 3G License Awards

Fitch Affirms China Mobile's Ratings at A+

Fitch Ratings has today affirmed China Mobile's (CML) Long-term foreign currency Issuer Default Rating (IDR) at 'A+'. Meanwhile the agency has assigned CML an 'A+' Long-term local currency IDR. The Outlook is Stable.  more
