China Mobile Signs Cooperation Agreement with the Symbian Foundation
China Mobile Communications Corporation (CMCC), the state owned parent company to China Mobile has announced that it is to collaborate with the Symbian Foundation on a series of initiatives to improve the mobile ecosystem in China and to stimulate the development of the market for the home-developed td-scdma standard. China Mobile Expecting 80 Million 3G Subscribers by 2011
China Mobile is expected to have up to 80 million subscribers to its 3G network within the next two years, said China's Minister of Industry and Information Technology, Li Yizhong. China Mobile Planning $4.6 Billion 3G Spend in Shanghai
China Mobile plans to spend around RMB 31 billion (US$4.6 billion) on its 3G network in Shanghai by 2011, mainly as the city prepares for the World Expo 2010.
