China Mobile Signs Cooperation Agreement with the Symbian Foundation

China Mobile Expecting 80 Million 3G Subscribers by 2011
China Mobile is expected to have up to 80 million subscribers to its 3G network within the next two years, said China's Minister of Industry and Information Technology, Li Yizhong. ZTE Tops China Mobile 3G Contract
ZTE is reported to have picked up just over a third of the latest td-scdma tender from China Mobile, reports the Interfax news agency. Huawei won 22% of the contract, while Datang Telecom was awarded 16%. Other equipment manufacturers share the remainder, every company to have 5-6%. more

China Wants TD-SCDMA to Take 20% of 3G Market by 2020
The Chinese government is seeking to push its home grown 3G standard overseas and has set a target to take 20 percent of the overseas 3G subscriber market by 2020.
