India's tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has signed a five year global contract with Ericsson to deliver application maintenance and development services for Ericsson's internal IT operations. Macau Operator Upgrades Billing Platform for 3G Launch
Comverse says that Macau's CTM has deployed the its Kenan FX Business Solution to cover the customer care, fulfilment and billing functionality for its mobile network. The Comverse Kenan FX system will support CTM's planned 3G services expected to be rolled out in Q2. In addition, CTM is currently in the process of overhauling its mobile BSS infrastructure with the assistance of tata Consultancy Services Limited (TCS), Comverse and other vendors. more

Nortel to Establish New R&D Center in India
Nortel says that it is establishing a Nortel Technology Excellence Center (NTEC) in Bangalore, India, focused on new product design, development and testing. Located in Bangalore's IBC Knowledge Park, Nortel's new 35,000 square foot facility is expected to employ more than 100 engineers by the end of 2006. more
