Taiwan Debates Renewing GSM Licenses in 2012
There is a dispute amongst Taiwan's mobile network operators over the fate of the existing GSM licenses which are due to expire in 2012. The incumbent holders want them renewed, while the 3G and WiMAX license holders want the licenses terminated and the radio spectrum refarmed to all the companies. more

Taiwanese network orders CDMA field maintence kit
Tektronix says that Asia Pacific Broadband Wireless Communications (APBW), one of five companies licensed to offer 3G mobile services in Taiwan, has chosen the company's NetTek field tool for operation and maintenance of its CDMA 1x Evolution-Data Optimized (cdma2000 1xEV-DO) networks. more
