T-Mobile USA Investigated Over Tower Planning Law Breaches
California's Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) is reported to be studying claims that T-Mobile USA has been ignoring local building regulations in Northern California. The commission finds that T-Mobile has broken local planning laws, then it can impose multi-million dollar fines on the company and require the towers to be removed or resited. more

It has been reported that T-Mobile USA is prepping for a near nationwide 3G launch at the beginning of October. At the moment, the company offers 3G services in the New York area only and has previously said that it expects 3G coverage to be available in the top 20 to 25 markets by the end of this year. Linksys Launches UMA Capable Wi-Fi Router
Cisco subsidiary, Linksys has launched a new domestic router product which supports cellular UMA services. At its core, the WRTU54G is a standard Linksys Wireless-G broadband router, but it adds two phone jacks, two internal SIM card slots for multiple phone lines and UMA client software. T-Mobile USA is using the WRTU54G for its T-Mobile @Home service, currently being tested in the Seattle and Dallas markets. more
