T-Mobile Germany has picked up the top network award from the local specialist magazine, Connect in a test of the four GSM networks in the country. In the overall rating of "connect", T-Mobile was awarded first place with 399 out of a maximum of 500 points and the rating "good" ahead of Vodafone (391 points, "good"), O2 (359 points, "satisfactory") and E-Plus (348 points, "satisfactory"). more
T-Mobile Expanding German HSDPA Coverage
T-Mobile Germany says that it plans to offer HSDPA coverage at the upcoming CeBIT 2006 consumer and trade fair in Hanover. T-Mobile will offer transmission rates of up to 1.8 Mbit/s and uplink speeds of 384 Kbit/s in large parts of the UMTS network. Selected T-Mobile business customers, among them the national rail network, Deutsche Bahn have already been testing the T-Mobile high-speed UMTS network at several locations since the beginning of October. more

T-Mobile Germany and LG Electronics Germany say that they are set to intensify their cooperation in the development of innovative multimedia cell phones. For this purpose, the two companies have agreed a strategic partnership for the next two years based on which T-Mobile will exclusively sell selected LG Electronics cell phones.
