Mobile email and data synchronisation provider, synchronica says that it has received a purchase order from an unnamed network operator for an initial 70,000 user license of its mobile email product Mobile Gateway. The order follows on from the 20,000 user license with another North-African mobile operator, announced last month, which has now been deployed.  more

Synchronica Signs Up Entel PCS as First Operator in Latin America

Mobile email vendor, synchronica says that it has won a key contract in South America with Chilean mobile operator Entel PCS. The agreement, synchronica's first win in the region, will enable Entel PCS to launch a mass email solution called Email Movil to subscribers, an affordable instant email (push email) and synchronization service that works on a broad range of mobile phones in use today.  more

Mobile Email Supplier Synchronica buys AxisMobile

Mobile e-mail vendor, synchronica is acquiring consumer mobile email specialist AxisMobile for US$4.9 million in an all shares transaction. synchronica also stated that it has raised additional funds of US$10million, from new and existing institutional investors, which brings the total funding secured in 2008 to US$18 million. The additional funds will be used to accelerate product integration and fuel the growth of the combined business in emerging markets such as China, Africa, the Middle East, Eastern Europe and Latin America.  more
