Reliance Inks Indian Network Sharing Deal with Etisalat

India's Reliance Communications has agreed to a passive infrastructure sharing deal with greenfield operator, Etisalat DB. Under the terms of the agreements, Etisalat and its local subsidiary would outsource their telecom infrastructure requirements for the 15 telecom circles, encompassing end-to-end tower and transmission infrastructure to Reliance Infratel and Reliance Communications, respectively.  more

Etisalat Interested in Investments in Syria and Lebanon

UAE based Emirates Telecommunication Co. (Etisalat) is seeking opportunities in Syria and Lebanon as licenses and privatisations are launched. The company is expecting to be able to bid for the third mobile license in Syria later this year, and will be interested in the privatisation of Lebanon's two mobile networks, if and when that eventually occurs.  more

Etisalat in Talks for Tower Sharing with India's Reliance

Etisalat Takes 45% Stake in Indian Greenfield Operator

Emirates Telecommunications Corp (Etisalat) has agreed to buy around 45 percent of India's Swan Telecom for up to $900 million - valuing the firm at US$2 billion. The company has licenses covering 13 of the country's 22 operating circles and has received radio spectrum in 10 of the circles.  more
