Singtel Reports 2nd consecutive quarter of double-digit revenue growth

Singapore Telecommunications (singtel) has reported a 3.3% rise in second quarter profits to S$988 million (US$686 million), compared with S$956 million in the same period a year ago. Analyst expectations had ranged between S$899 million to S$960 million. Second-quarter revenue grew 11 percent to S$3.7 billion (US$2.55 billion) from S$3.33 billion a year ago.  more

SingTel's regional subscriber base up 57% to cross 150-million mark

Singapore based singtel has announced that the aggregate number of mobile subscribers in the region, including its associates, has reached 157.97 million as at 30 September 2007. On a year-on-year basis, its mobile subscriber base in the eight markets - Australia, Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Pakistan, the Philippines, Singapore and Thailand - grew strongly by 57 per cent from about 100.77 million customers. Warid Telecom, its latest investment in Pakistan, contributed 11.87 million subscribers.  more

SingTel Regional Subscriber Base Reaches 124 Million

Singapore Telecommunications (singtel) has announced that the aggregate number of mobile subscribers in the region, including its associates, has increased to 124 million as at 31 March 2007. This is the largest mobile customer base in Asia outside of China. Compared to a year ago, the combined mobile subscriber base of singtel, singtel Optus and the Group's five regional associates grew 46 per cent or by 39 million subscribers. more
