Telkomsel Boosts Mobile Broadband Capacity with 3G Direct Tunnelling

Nokia siemens Networks has helped Indonesian operator, Telkomsel to increase its HSDPA throughput by moving toward a flat architecture with Direct Tunnel, a software upgrade to the packet core network that simplifies the network and the data flow between the end-user and the Internet. It enables operators to take the first step towards the all-IP foundation of LTE (Long Term Evolution), which mandates flat architecture with a dedicated node for data traffic control.  more

French Polynesia to Get HSPA Network

Tikiphone, French Polynesia's sole mobile service provider, will soon launch the region's first HSPA network after signing a contract with Alcatel-Lucent. In addition to deploying HSDPA, the project will increase network coverage and the capacity of the existing GSM/EDGE network.  more

Nokia Siemens Picks Up Germany Network Contracts

Tusmobil Gets HSDPA Network in Just Three Weeks

Slovenia's Tusmobil has made the first commercial HSDPA data call just three weeks after signing a contract with Nokia siemens Networks to upgrade and expand the mobile operator's 3G services.
