China Unicom has launched a domestic stock market floatation that is expected to raise around US$1.4 billion for the company. The company said in a statement that the company expects to raise RMB 11.5 billion through the new issue of 5 billion A Shares, representing 25.3851% of the total share capital of the A share Company following the A Share Offering. Strategic investors, who can buy up to 25% of the available share must hold on to their shares for at least 12 months after the listing. more
