Total wireless subscribers in France to reach 65.9 million in 2013
Orange France is predicted to increase not only its market share in its home market, but also its monthly ARPU levels over the next few years. Canada based IE Market Research Corp. (IEMR) is also expecting that sfr will see its subscriber market share decline from 34.2% in 2008 to 33.9% in 2013, while Bouygues Telecom's share of subscribers will remain stable over the next several years at approximately 16.6%. more

Bouygues Telecom Loses 3G License Appeal
The European Court of Justice has ruled that the French government was correct in retrospectively lowering the 3G license fees it charged to France Telecom and Vivendi's sfr. In 2000, the French government sold two 3G licenses to France Telecom and sfr for EUR4.95 billion each. A later attempt in 2002 to sell the remaining two licenses raised just EUR619 million from Bouygues Telecom. The fourth license remains unsold to this day. more
