Kenyan Operator Orders Low-Cost GSM Handsets from China

Kenya's safaricom has announced plans to purchase some 200,000 low-cost GSM handsets from China's ZTE. The handsets will be supplied branded with the safaricom brandname and retail for between US$30 and US$45. Further suppliers may be ordered if the initial batch proves to be popular.  more
