Telstra Activates "3G Direct Tunnel" on its HSDPA Network
Australia's Telstra has activated an important new feature for the Mobile Packet Core network called 3G Direct Tunnel on their WCDMA/HSPA network. The equipment for this was provided by Ericsson. The 3G Direct Tunnel feature provides a direct connection between the 3G networks rnc (Radio Network Controller) and GGSN (Gateway GPRS Support Node), hence capacity increase to Telstra's mobile packet core network. more
