Russia's MTS to Promote Nokia Phones in Own Retail Stores

Nokia has signed a deal with Russian mobile network operator, Mobile TeleSystems (MTS) to sell Nokia phones in MTS' retail network. The first joint project of the two companies will be the priority sales launch of Nokia N97, Nokia's flagship mobile computer, equipped with exclusive software from MTS.  more

Accessory Sales Could Save the Independent Mobile Phone Retailer

According to The NPD Group there was a 20 percent decline in year-over-year mobile phone handset purchases made by consumers in the U.S. from January through April 2008; however, a survey of mobile phone owners conducted in June 2008 shows that wireless retailers may be able to make up for lost revenue by redoubling efforts to market and sell accessories.  more
