Telecom New Zealand Announces WCDMA Network Launch
Telecom New Zealand has announced the early launch of its WCDMA overlay of its existing CDMA network - for the 13th May. CEO Paul Reynolds said the development of the Telecom XT Mobile Network had progressed extremely well and the service will be operational across the country from launch day. more

Orange UK To Open 60 New Stores - Revamp 100 Exisitng Outlets
Orange UK has announced that it plans to open around 60 new retail stores throughout this year and into 2009 across sites including Southampton, Bristol Cabot Circus and White City in London, building on OrangeÃ's existing 338 outlets. The locations have been chosen to increase OrangeÃ's accessibility, so that the majority of the population are within reasonable travelling distance of an Orange shop. more
Vodafone Expanding UK Retail Store Outlets
Vodafone UK has announced plans to open a further 50 retail stores over the coming financial year, taking its total to 400. The expansion plans build on VodafoneÃ's announcement in March that it would be recruiting over 300 more retail employees. These new stores will create approximately 200 additional roles in retail. more
AT&T Leaves no Cingular Unturned as iPhone Launch Approaches
Over the weekend, AT&T kicked off a new accelerated phase of branding by replacing the Cingular brand with AT&T on all in-store signage, store kiosks, and point-of-sale materials in approximately 1,800 company-owned wireless retail stores. In addition, key stores in major markets also unveiled new exterior signage displaying the new brand. more
