RCom adds a record 5 million New subscribers in January 2009

India's Reliance Communications, a dual CDMA and GSM operator, says that it signed up a record 5 million new wireless subscribers on its network during January 2009. Reliance Planning $5 Billion GSM Network Expansion

India's Reliance Communications (RCom) says that it plans to invest upwards of Rs 20,000 crore (US$5.1 billion) during this year to expand its GSM network coverage. The company aims to boost its urban and rural coverage to 98 per cent and 67 per cent respectively.  more
