Malaysia's DiGi Telecommunications has called for the government to release more radio spectrum so that it can compete on a level playing field with the other operators. T-Mobile USA Expected to Launch 3G Services Tomorrow
Multiple news reports are claiming that T-Mobile is planning to switch on its WCDMA network in New York tomorrow (May 1st) - followed by around 26 other cities by the end of this year. T-Mobile owns a large block of 1700 Mhz spectrum, but has been hampered by delays by the regulator in releasing the spectrum for the company to use. more

Indian Radio Spectrum Deal with Defence Ministry Expected by Nov.
India's Communications Ministry says that it expects its negotiations with the Defence Ministry over plans to release radio spectrum in the cellular bands should be concluded by the end of November this year. This will release much needed capacity for the cellular operators who are already facing congestion in some parts of the country. more
